Protecting Our Patients: COVID-19
Due to the recent concern over COVID-19 and in an effort to protect our patients and employees, we want to let you know Kaw Valley Hearing is following CDC guidelines.

- All High-Touch areas such as light switches, door handles, sinks, desks, keyboards, and common areas are disinfected multiple times per day.
- Our employees are informed and aware of the CDC Guidelines and are aware to stay home if they have a fever, cold/flu symptoms, or have been in contact with anyone who may have been suspect of having COVID-19.
- Hand washing and utilization of hand sanitizers is always practiced by our staff. Utilization of PPE equipment is also utilized by our staff.
- Staff temperatures are taken at the beginning of each shift.
- All patients and visitors (which are limited within the facility) are required to complete a COVID-19 screening form and have their temperature taken.
- Hand sanitizer is available and encouraged for all patients and visitors to use.
- Cleaning and sanitizing of our hearing aid lab area is completed multiple times per day; hearing aids are separated to avoid any cross-contamination between patients.
- In order to give our patients the best possible experience, we kindly ask that if you are experiencing any cold, flu-like symptoms, have been in contact with someone who has these symptoms, or has tested positive for COVID-19, have recently traveled internationally or are concerned that you've been exposed to the Coronavirus, please take the necessary action of contacting your primary care physician for advise, and reschedule your appointment with Kaw Valley Hearing. We will do everything to best accommodate you in a timely manner.
- If your have a hearing aid that needs adjustment, and the hearing aid has the ability to be remotely adjusted through tele-health (ie. Starkey Livio Hearing Aid). If you have this hearing aid technology, however initially opted to not activate this function, but are interested at this time, please contact our office. We strongly encourage you to utilize this feature.
- If your hearing aid is not functioning properly, please call our office prior to coming in; we may be able to troubleshoot your concern over the phone.
- Please utilize our complimentary curbside service for your hearing aid and supply needs during our adjusted office hours.
